The Vagina Monologues, written by Eve Ensler (now V), is a series of
monologues that explore women's sexuality, relationships, self-identity,
and experiences with violence. The play, which premiered in 1996,
is based on interviews Ensler conducted with women about their vaginas.
The monologues represent a range of voices allowing for their
stories and experiences to be shared.
